FLU IMMUNISATION Helping to protect people

Flu vaccination is recommended for all pregnant women and those aged under 65 years with an underlying health condition that puts them at greater risk from flu.

Flu vaccination is also recommended for:

• children aged two or three years old (on 31 August of current flu season)

• all primary school-aged children and

• children and young people from 6 months up to 18 years of age with a health condition that puts them at greater risk from flu.

Flu Vaccination is especially important for older adults. As you get older, your immune system weakens and it can be more difficult to fight off infections.
